Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to obtain lymph node samples to understand how the immune system makes a response to vaccinations. In particular, we will study the immune cells within lymph nodes, where we think important parts of the vaccine response occur. We believe that if we study only blood samples, we are likely to miss some important aspects of the immune response. By studying lymph node cells, we hope to learn more about how vaccines work, including new vaccines such as ones developed against the COVID-19 virus. What we learn may help us make more effective vaccines in the future.
