Brief description of study

The purpose of this research study is to help identify the difference between cancerous and non-cancerous salivary gland tumors for improving treatment strategies and also aid in the prediction of disease progression. It is important to determine whether the salivary gland tumor is cancerous prior to operation because this information can influence surgical planning. Correct diagnosis can avoid delayed treatment of cancerous tumors and the overall treatment of non-cancerous tumors, resulting in overall improvement survival and quality of life.

Detailed description of study

Your study participation will include the completion of a research MRI scan. The total duration of your study visit will last for approximately 2 hours, with the MRI scan taking about 1 hour to complete.

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: cancer,salivary gland tumor
  • Age: 18 years - 99 years
  • Gender: All
