Brief description of study
The purpose of this study is to collect information about the blood level of a specific marker (lipoprotein (a)). Similar to other blood lipids, such as the "bad cholesterol", lipoprotein (a) levels were found to be associated with the risk of hardening of the arteries, known as atherosclerosis, which leads to conditions such as heart attacks, stroke, or peripheral artery disease (severe pain in legs while walking or lower limb amputation.)
In this study which is performed on a global scale, we will collect information from patients with these conditions to better understand what the lipoprotein (a) levels are over a broad geography.

-
