Brief description of study
University of Pennsylvania Department of Radiology is conducting a research study on hip bone microstructure and strength in people with AND without chronic renal disease. The purpose of this research is to examine the microstructure of bone in the hip using a new, MRI-based approach.
Detailed description of study
If you are eligible (see additional information below), you will come in for 2 study visits, including:
- MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)—one 40 minute long MRI exam
- DXA (dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry)—one 20 minute long DXA exam
- 1 blood draw
Compensation will be provided.
