Brief description of study

The purpose of this pilot study is to examine the effects of cognitive bias modification of interpretation bias (CBM-I) training on negative interpretation bias, as well as exposure treatment outcome and efficacy for primary anxiety disorder patients. The key eligibility criterion is a primary diagnosis of anxiety disorders. Total N for the study is 90. Subjects with a primary diagnosis of OCD will be randomly divided (1:1:1) among pre- treatment training using computerized CBM-I tasks (intervention), computerized control CBM-I assessment tasks without modification (control), or waitlist. The waitlist condition will have the option to complete either computerized task after treatment, if participants are interested. Subjects with other anxiety disorder primary diagnoses will not be randomized to receive CBM, and will effectively be considered part of the waitlist control for comparison purposes.
